The ride originated when Pastor Hunt and his wife arrived at church on their motorcycles and a member of the congregation suggested a bike blessing. All proceeds from the ride go toward Homes for the Brave in Bridgeport, Conn., a nonprofit that supports veterans readjusting to the community.
The Downtown Thursdays outdoor summer concert series opened on McLevy Green on June 18, 2015 in downtown Bridgeport, Conn. with performances by Remember September and The Alternate Routes. The concerts continue next week with Jessie’s Girl and Boxcar Jones and runs through July 23.
